BlueMotion
Saving for your fleet and protection for the environment
At Sinclair Volkswagen, our innovative BlueMotion Volkswagens will bring both energy efficiency and
economy to your fleet. BlueMotion is now available in models across our range and these eco-friendly cars use less fuel and produce less CO2. This has been achieved through intelligent refinement of existing technology - A modified advanced TDI engine is combined with longer gear ratios and a diesel particulate filter, while sleeker aerodynamics and low resistance tyres add more economy.
So whether you choose Polo or Golf, Passat or Tiguan - the result is the same. Your fleet saves on fuel and tax costs. And you'll be helping protect the planet at the same time.

The most efficient Polo ever - Polo BlueMotion
The new Polo BlueMotion, which is forecast to emit a class-leading 91g of CO2 per kilometre, is now open for ordering. The new Polo BlueMotion is forecast to achieve 80.7mpg on the combined cycle, making it capable of almost 800 miles on one tank. That's enough to drive from London to Milan without needing to refuel.
The Polo BlueMotion also qualifies for free VED because of its low CO2 emissions.
The new Polo BlueMotion uses technology with which you'll already be becoming familiar:
- Start/stop system
- Regenerative braking (recuperation)
- Hill hold
- Low rolling resistence tyres
- Midline multifunction computer showing recommended gear changes
Eos BlueMotion Technology
The Eos 1.4 TSI 122PS has been replaced by a BlueMotion Technology version. The new model's start/stop technology and regenerative braking help it achieve reduced CO2 emissions of 144g/km. The lower emissions put the car in VED band F, which will save customers £25 a year in road tax compared to the outgoing model.
The Eos BlueMotion Technology is available in S and SE trim levels and includes all the specification you'd expect on an S and SE trim model, plus:
- Highline multifunction computer with gear change recommendation
- Start/stop function with recuperation (regenerative braking)
- Hill hold
The Cleanest Golf Ever
The new BlueMotion Golf, which is forecast to emit a class-leading 99g/CO2 per kilometre, is now available for ordering. The flagship 99g/km BlueMotion Golf is the first car in its class to break the 100g/km barrier. Previously this has only been broken by the more expensive Toyota Prius hybrid. The Honda Insight hybrid emits a full 10g/km more CO2 than the Golf, at 109g/km.
Just like the first-generation Polo BlueMotion, the new BlueMotion Golf stands out through its unique exterior and interior styling - the first time a Golf BlueMotion has been given this treatment.
The new BlueMotion Golf is forecast to achieve 74.3mpg on the combined cycle, making it capable of almost 900 miles on one tank. That's enough to drive from London to Barcelona without refuelling. In fact, a typical fleet driver covering 60,000 miles over three years would save approximately £700 on fuel versus the non-BlueMotion version.
Passat introduces new BlueMotion Technology
From production week 49, the Passat will be almost in a league of its own with a range of BlueMotion Saloon and Estate models being launched and class-leading CO2 emissions of just 114*g/km. Three of the top five cleanest cars in its segment will be Passats, as shown in the table below.
The new Passat BlueMotion range is relaunched with two separate versions:
- BlueMotion Technology - Passats built with BlueMotion Technology
- BlueMotion - a complete BlueMotion Passat
BlueMotion Technology
The existing 1.6 105PS BlueMotion will be rebadged as BlueMotion Technology and be joined by a new 2.0 TDI 140PS version. Both models feature start/stop and brake energy recuperation systems that help reduce CO2 emissions to just 118*g/km and 124*g/km respectively.
Highline Bluemotion Technology
The more powerful 2.0-litre TDI 140PS Bluemotion Technology will only be available in Highline trim.
This new version has all the luxury of the Highline, such as Vienna leather and 17-inch Macau alloy wheels, and the start/stop and brake energy recuperation systems, enhanced fuel economy and low CO2 emissions (124*g/km for Saloon and 127*g/km for Estate) from the BlueMotion Technology.
BlueMotion
Top of the Passat BlueMotion range is a new 1.6 TDI 105PS with class-leading CO2 emissions of just 114g/km, start/stop and brake energy recuperation technology, and new more efficient aerodynamic body styling
