At Sinclair Volkswagen we recommend you replace your cambelt at least every four years and sooner if your mileage is high. If this is not adhered too, cambelts do go and that can mean the end of the road for your engine.
Over time and miles, the rubber deteriorates; it’s not just through wear, but rain, salt, heat, ice and grit eat away at the rubber and it can suddenly snap.
