Servicing your Motability Vehicle
What happens when my vehicle needs a service?
Don’t worry – we’ll take care of this for you and there will be nothing to pay as servicing is included as part of your Motability package.
Of course, you’ll need to have your car serviced to keep it running at its best.
At Sinclair Volkswagen, our Motability cars run on a ‘Long Life’ service regime. Thanks to the latest Volkswagen engine technology and technically-advanced longlife oil, this means that you should be able to drive up to a maximum of 18,000* miles or 24 months (whichever occurs first) before your car requires a service.
When will my vehicle need an MOT?
You will need to have an MOT completed on your Volkswagen before the car is returned at the end of the agreement and we can carry this out for you up to three months before you hand it back.
But again, don’t worry, as the cost of the MOT is part of your Motability package so it’s an expense you won’t incur.
Our valued Motability customers rely on their cars for a number of reasons, which is why we have several measures in place to minimise convenience and disruption whilst their vehicles are with us.
Courtesy vehicles are available for hire whilst your own car is in our workshop. If you can provide documented proof of insurance, there is no fee payable – otherwise a charge of £12.50 per day will be made for legal cover.
You’ll simply need to present your driver’s license on the day. If you have the photographic ID version, you will need to obtain a code from the DVLA as the paper counterpart section is now invalid. This will allow us to view your licence details online and then authorise your courtesy car. To get this code, please visit www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence
Collection & Delivery
We offer a convenient Collection & Delivery service from a variety of locations if you’re unable to bring your car to us. Our reservation team will confirm if your postcode is eligible. As part of this hassle-free service, we’ll collect your vehicle before 11am on the day of your booking by prior arrangement and return it to you once the work has been completed.
If your next stop is less than 20 minutes away, it will be our pleasure to drop you off and pick you up, free of charge.
